The Mostly Mozart Festival presents the world premiere of a new Violin Concerto by Finnish composer Magnus Lindberg. Commissioned by Lincoln Center, this piece manifests Lindberg's rhythmic virtuosity and melodic detail. The dynamic violinist performs the concerto with a sound "full of mood, poise and charisma" (The New York Times)

Additionally, on Tuesday, August 22nd, the International Contemporary Ensemble plays the music of Magnus Lindberg as part of the Night Music series at the Mostly Mozart Festival. This starts at 10:30 at costs $35. It is at the Stanley H. Kaplan penthouse at 70 Lincoln Center Plaza.
