Skaneateles Festival - Chamber Concert

First Presbyterian Church
97 East Genesee Street
Skaneateles NY 13152

The intriguing theme for the Skaneateles Festival's final week, "Four on the Floor," has a double meaning, referring to the title of a featured work by leading American composer Libby Larsen, and also to out-of-the-ordinary combinations of four musicians. Three devoted musical couples - cellist David Ying and pianist Elinor Freer; violinists Olga and Ilya Kaler; and cellists Steven Doane and Rosemary Elliott - will unite with other musical friends for unusual groupings of instruments. Presenting repertoire as varies as their ensembles, each different quartet will create a unique blend of appealing instrumentation and tantalizing tone colors.

Featuring: James E. Bobb, harpsichord; Steven Copes, violin; Steven Doane, cello; Rosemary Elliott, cello; Elinor Freer, piano; Ilya Kaler, violin; Olga Kaler, violin; Masumi Per Rostad, viola; Marina Piccinini, flute; Lauren Skuce, soprano; David Ying, cello.

Admission: From $13 to $21, children 12 and under FREE
