Thanks! Still…too bad I missed it.
I found the Riley disappointing, actually. The Reich performance was actually better, IMO, than the recording (something about the vocal performance), and David Lang’s piece was really outstanding.
The “Hey Student” blog has an early report. Though he only came after midnight & so missed the Riley, there are actual video snippets from selected performances:

Maybe some could tell us how that Terry Riley piece was?
“31 VII 69 10:26 – 10:49 PM Munich from Map of 49’s Dream The Two Systems of Eleven Sets of Galactic Intervals Ornamental Lightyears Tracery” is one of my personal favorites in terms of titles.
Feldman and Babbitt wrote some cool titles. And while maybe not as cool as La Monte Young’s titles, I’d like to think this piece intentionally left blank and textbook: music of isolated landscapes in hyperspace (piece for IPS) are pretty interesting titles. Or not…
Well, maybe NOBODY —
“The Tortoise Recalling the Drone of the Holy Numbers as they were Revealed in the Dreams of the Whirlwind and the Obsidian Gong”
Man, NOBODY writes titles like Terry Riley…
