New CD from Judith Lang Zaimont

Sequenza21.com Composer Forum contributor Judith Lang Zaimont has a new CD out from Naxos' Milken Archive of American Jewish Music.

The disc includes excerpts from her Sacred Service for the Sabbath Evening, a concert setting with symphony orchestra; A Woman of Valor for mezzo-soprano and string quartet; Parable: A Tale of Abram and Isaac, an arresting re-telling of the biblical episode based on an anti-war poem by Wilfred Owen; and Meditations at the Time of the New Year for voices and bells.

An interview with Judith about the new CD is up on the Milken Archive web site (www.milkenarchive.org).

An excerpt from her keynote address to the 2005 National Conference of Women in the Arts was also recently posted on New Music Box.
